Questions teams ask before rollout
Is NEXA a subscription, or can we buy a license?
Both. NEXA runs on a recurring subscription, or you can buy a perpetual license that secures your long-term right to use the platform. Either way, an active subscription keeps your deployment current and dependable — hosting and uptime, version updates and new capabilities, security patches, regular data backups, and direct support.
Is the accounting real double-entry, or just reports?
It is a full double-entry general ledger. Sales, purchases, supplier bills, payments, expenses, inventory movements, production, payroll, tax, and asset events post balanced journal entries, with a chart of accounts, dimensions for cost-center reporting, fiscal periods you open and close, and reversing entries instead of silent edits. Every balance traces back to the document that created it.
Can we control who sees what?
Yes. Role permissions, company and location scope, client portal roles, feature access, approval policies, and visibility rules combine so each person sees only the work they are responsible for — by branch, entity, or client. Administrators decide who can view, edit, or approve each record.
What if our language is not one of the supported ones?
NEXA ships in six languages today: English, Arabic, Kurdish (Sorani), Kurdish (Badini), Persian, and Turkish. We can add any other language your team needs at no additional cost.
Can teams work outside the office?
Yes. Mobile users can clock in, start their Work Day, visit clients, create invoices, collect payments, scan barcodes, complete delivery tasks, keep working offline, and print receipts or documents through portable Bluetooth thermal printers.
What happens when mobile teams lose connection?
The mobile app can keep working offline and sync back under policies your company sets. Work Day and attendance policies decide how offline actions are handled: rejected, queued for review, accepted from trusted devices, or limited to status-only updates. Field teams keep moving, and the office stays in control of what gets recorded.
Can we bring our existing data in — and get it out later?
Yes. Assisted onboarding sets up your chart of accounts and loads your real starting position — clients, suppliers, products, opening inventory, and opening balances — so you go live from where the business actually is, not a blank slate. Your data stays yours: records and reports can be exported to standard formats, including CSV, whenever you need them.
Can NEXA run our production?
Yes. The Manufacturing add-on covers plants and work centers, versioned bills of materials and routings, production orders, material reservation and issue, quality inspections and holds, finished-goods receipt, and WIP costing. Materials consumed, output received, and conversion cost post to the same inventory and ledger as the rest of the business.
How do deliveries and shipping work?
Deliver with your own fleet through delivery tasks, or ship through external carriers. Each shipment is tracked to proof of delivery, partial deliveries and returns are reconciled item by item, and the client’s delivery charge stays separate from the carrier’s cost, which is billed through supplier payables. Imports have their own inbound shipment, freight, and landed-cost workflow.
Can we manage supplier bills, advances, and payments?
Yes. Supplier bills and credit memos go through duplicate checks, approval, and a posting preview. Supplier advances can be applied to bills automatically or by hand, and one payment can settle several bills from any cash, bank, or wallet safe. Each supplier’s balance and statement update as you go.
Does NEXA handle Iraqi tax?
Yes. The tax engine keeps federal Iraq and the Kurdistan Region as separate authorities, applies versioned rules to each legal entity’s documents, posts tax together with the invoice or bill, and prepares return workpapers reconciled to the ledger. Each rule release passes legal and accounting review, and filing the return stays with your company.
